VAULT Terms and conditions
1. Your child/children will attend the VAULT launch, a workshop, training and industry day facilitated by the East End Film Festival and freelance professionals working with the East End Film Festival, the London Development Authority, Tower Hamlets 2012 Unit and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. All staff will adhere to the Tower Hamlets Council Child Protection Policy and will take care to ensure your child/ children’s safety.
2. The title project VAULT, encompasses the following authorities: East End Film Festival, the London Development Authority, Tower Hamlets 2012 Unit, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority and Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest Councils. Hereafter, all terms and conditions under the name VAULT are also applicable to the authorities previously listed.
3. As part of the activities, your child/ children will have the opportunity to participate in film-making workshops, attend film screenings and speak with professionals from the film industry. They will also have the opportunity to sign up to take part in VAULT, which could see them attending further training sessions and workshops and making short films on the 1948/2012 Olympics between August-December. The details of this project will be distributed clearly at the launch as well as being published on our website www.thevaultproject.com.
4. VAULT may use or broadcast all or parts of your child/ children’s work created during the launch in any way including for publicity purposes for VAULT, East End Film Festival and the London Development Authority and across all media now or hereafter known (which shall include but not be limited to TV, radio, online, mobile, interactive services, at the East End Film Festival and on both permanent and temporary BBC Big Screens) in perpetuity.
5. VAULT may document your child/ children’s participation through photography, audio, and/or video and use such material for publicity and for broadcast purposes in relation to the VAULT project across all media now or hereafter known in perpetuity. You agree that VAULT’s use of such material will not amount to any infringement by VAULT of any recognised right of privacy.
6. VAULT may edit or alter any of your child/ children’s contributions so they can be used effectively for broadcast. Although VAULT hope to use your child/ children’s contributions they cannot guarantee to do so.
7. Your child/ children will not receive any fee from VAULT to use any of their contributions.
8. VAULT is not liable for any loss or damage to your children’s property unless it is caused by VAULT’s negligence.
9. VAULT reserves the right to cancel your child’s participation if their conduct is not appropriate. In this case we will contact you on the contact telephone number you supplied, and you will be asked to collect your child or they will be dismissed from Brady Arts Centre. VAULT may also vary or cancel this event at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise beyond its control.
10. This consent is governed by English law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
The personal data about you and your child on this form will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. VAULT will only use your/ your child’s information for the purposes of the VAULT initiative. Your/ you child’s information will not be transferred to any third party.
